Get to Know More About East Texas Twisters
East Texas Twisters has three locations: Canton, Mineola, and Mabank. The original Canton facility was opened in 1979 and has been providing quality tumbling, gymnastics and cheerleading training to East Texas for many years.
In 2000, we built a new 12,000-square-foot dream facility in Canton with competitive spring floors, foam pit, trampolines, gymnastic equipment, upstairs studios, plus much more. In 1993, we expanded this program to include a Mineola location and again built a state of
the art gym in 2003.
Our Mabank location opened in 2016 bringing on our third amazing facility. With the largest and most well equipped gyms, along with our qualified and highly trained staff, we strive to provide kids with the most positive and developmental experiences possible.
Our Philosophy
To encourage each child to reach his or her potential through positive motivation with an emphasis on developing self-esteem and confidence. Gymnastics and cheerleading training is done through logical skill progression and repetition to develop flexibility, muscular strength, and body awareness, thus providing a safe progression to advanced skills.
A Great Place for Kids of All Ages
East Texas Twisters offers classes in tumbling,
gymnastics and cheerleading to children ages
18 months to 18 years of age. We specialize in:
- Developmental Gymnastics and Tumbling Training: Classes include basic to advanced tumbling skills, trampoline, balance beam, uneven bars and vaulting in our Canton and Mineola locations. In our Mabank location we offer Developmental Tumbling Training: Classes include basic tumbling skills, trampoline and fun activities to increase strength and flexibility skills.
- Competitive Training Teams: East Texas Twisters offers an All -Star Cheerleading Competitive Program and Gym-Stars Competitive Gymnastics Teams.
- Birthday Parties: East Texas Twisters offers you the opportunity to host your child's birthday party at the gym! We provide a very well-trained and certified coach to supervise your child's party. Each party offers 1 hour of Open Gym fun, while maintaining a safe environment for the children, with 30 minutes in our lobby for presents and cake. Call (903) 567-2916 and DeDe can help you schedule your party.
- Open Gym: This fun night is for athletes who want to practice the skills they have learned in class. They can also get help with skills they want to achieve. Open gym is for anyone ages 5 yrs to 18 yrs. For more information check out each gym's Facebook page: East Texas Twisters - Canton, East Texas Twisters - Mabank, East Texas Twisters - Mineola. Friends are welcome but to participate in Open Gym a parent/guardian must first complete a release form. Follow these instructions: Release Form
- Special Events: Each month we offer Parent's Night Out special event in each location. It is for ages 5 yrs and up, 6:00 - 9:00 pm, for $25.00 and includes pizza!!! - Camps: Each summer we offer many various types of camps; tumbling, gymnastics, cheerleading, strength and flexibility training and much more. We will publish those camps on each gym's Facebook page (East Texas Twisters - Canton, East Texas Twisters - Mabank, East Texas Twisters - Mineola) in May.
